Overview

Jamify ("we," "us," or "our") is an app that turns books, podcasts, and other sources into bite-sized songs you can listen to, quiz yourself on, and share. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What We Collect

Waitlist Signups

When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. This data is stored securely with our email provider (Resend) and used solely to notify you when Jamify launches.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. You may also sign in with Google or Apple, in which case we receive your name and email from the provider.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage data to improve the product -- which songs are played, quiz scores, streak activity, and feature usage. This data is never sold and is used only to make Jamify better.

Payment Information

Premium plan payments are processed by Stripe (web) and the App Store / Google Play (mobile). We never store credit card numbers on our servers. The payment processor's privacy policy governs payment data.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Jamify service
• To send you product updates and launch notifications (waitlist)
• To track your streaks, XP, and learning progress
• To respond to support requests
• To ensure platform safety and prevent abuse

We never sell personal data to third parties. We never use your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited set of trusted third-party services:

• Resend -- Email delivery (account emails, notifications)
• Stripe -- Payment processing (Premium plan, web)
• RevenueCat -- In-app purchase management (mobile)
• Cloudflare -- Content delivery and asset storage
• PostHog -- Anonymous product analytics (no personal data shared)
• Sentry -- Error monitoring (crash reports, no personal data)

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising-related tracking on Jamify.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. Our database is hosted on secure infrastructure with automatic backups.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of non-essential emails at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a prominent notice in the app. Your continued use of Jamify after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
